It's Finn-ito for Kohlschreiber

Jarrko Nieminen is all smiles after his win over German Phillip Kohlschreiber

Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber has been eliminated in the fourth round by flying Finn Jarkko Nieminen 3-6 7-6 7-6 6-3.

Kohlschreiber has become somewhat of a cult figure at Australian Open 2008, took the first set 6-3 before losing the remaining three sets to the consistent left hander.

Despite being seeded five spots lower than Nieminen, Kohlschreiber went into the clash as favourite after his scintillating five-set victory over Andy Roddick on Day Five.

Nieminen fought back to take the second set in a tie-break and it was clear Kohlschreiber was the one struggling with the blustery conditions. The German just couldn't quite get the same accuracy on his normally precise ground strokes.

In the second set, he blew a set point opportunity in the tie-break to trail the Finn two sets to one. Nieminen was on top again early in the last set and he soon shot to a 5-2 lead.

He held serve taking the fourth set 6-3 to advance to the quarter finals, where he will face either Paul-Henri Mathieu or Rafael Nadal.
