The Australian Open 2013 tournament website launched today, bringing fans premium tennis content from the Grand Slam of Asia–Pacific starting 14 January.
Websites, mobile phones, TV, tablets, radio –Australian Open 2013 fans have more choice than ever to follow the tennis, whether attending the event, tuning in at home, or following the action at work or on the move.
Australianopen.com, developed in partnership with the Australian Open’s technology partner IBM, saw nearly 15 million people visit the site in 2012 and is the central point for breaking news and live scores from Melbourne Park. The flagship website includes match analysis from a team of international tennis writers, statistics, player profiles, interviews, historical records, news, previews, reviews, prediction games and photos.
The popular SLAMTRACKER live scoreboard returns together with draws, schedules, ticketing information, entertainment guide and the bite-sized, cheeky live blog of the AO, ‘Popcorn Tennis’.
AOTV presents a feast of videos that include daily highlights, player clips, fun features and live streaming of the Australian Open qualifying event from 9–12 January 2013. For the those who like to unwind and rewind, check out the AOTV Vault, which contains completed matches from the Australian Open dating back to 1998.
The popular prediction game Pick ‘Em returns offering fans the chance to test their tennis expertise and win prizes, with the game running across Australian Open Series events in Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart before the first Grand Slam of the year kicks off in Melbourne.

The popular Official Australian Open Android and iPhone apps return in 2013, featuring live video, scores, draws, scheduling, player profiles and event information. The apps will be free to download from the App Store and Marketplace in January. Also making its iPad debut in January is the free Australian Open photobook Open Shutter presenting a day-by-day pictorial timeline of Australian Open 2013, with stunning and exclusive photography that can be shared with friends and family.
The Australian Open Official program will also be available on iPad, featuring exclusive photo-galleries, videos, previews, profiles and tournament information.
AO Radio
AO Radio is back in 2013, providing ball-by-call commentary of centre court action as well as regular score updates from the outside courts, news, player interviews and feature reports. AO Radio is streamed off australianopen.com, on the official Australian Open iPhone and Android apps, via the popular live radio service TuneIn and around the grounds at Melbourne Park on 99.7 FM.
