A member of the WTA Tour players’ council, Liezel has been travelling on the tennis tour for 15 years. She teamed up with Cara Black of Zimbabwe at the beginning of 2007 and the pair has since played 64 tournaments together, winning 22.
Liezel won the Australian Open 2007 doubles title with Cara and together they have finished the past two seasons as the top ranked doubles pairing in the world. The pair also has two Wimbledon titles (2005 and 2007) a US Open title (2008) and two season-ending championships to their names.
When Liezel isn’t competing she’s busy running her tennis centre, The Huber Tennis Ranch, and operating her charity, Liezel’s Cause, which she set up to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Liezel will be online Wednesday at 12pm AEST to answer your questions about being a professional player, the doubles game, her charity or anything else to do with life on the tour.
