Australian Open Employment

Tennis Australia employs a variety of casual staff to work during the Australian Open. Some tournament positions include;

  • Scoring Operations - Statisticians
  • Courtesy Car Drivers
  • Media Staff
  • Retail Staff
  • Office Administration
  • FanFest
  • Information Services Staff
  • Operations Staff
  • Corporate & VIP Hospitality

Applicants that apply for employment with Tennis Australia during Australian Open 2009 must be Australian citizens or hold a valid work visa, as advised by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Applicants must have unrestricted availability over the tournament period (19 January – 1 February 2009, Qualifying 14 – 17 January), and be able to commit to attending compulsory training sessions and inductions held at various times throughout the year, prior to the commencement of official duties.

University Field Placement Positions

Tennis Australia offers a limited number of University Field Placements for students throughout the year. Placements are based on work availability within specific areas during the required program period.

Applications must relate to approved university placements and may vary in length from 70 hours to 280 hours. Enquiries relating to University Field Placements should be directed to the Tennis Australia human resources department via email: tournamenthr@tennis.com.au
